Chicken Pox Vaccine??

What do you think about it? Safe? Effective? Have your kids been vaccinated?

The more I read about it, the more I wish I had asked for it for Ryan :yuck: He's had all his required immunizations -- but this one wasn't one of them -- we were never offered it.

I wouldn't worry. Mine HAD to have it in order to start school. I tried like heck to contaminate them but no such luck. They got the shot and now, it seems, will need a booster every few years. :huh: Seems like a waste to me. I know too many kids who got the shot and then got pox anyway (some badly and some mildly).

never wanted it and never got it. All three of my children have had the chicken pox.

I never wanted it, but had decided to vax if they got to their tween/teen years without contracting the pox. Luckily (or not), they've now both had CP, so I'm not worrying much.
