If you're like me, you sometimes find yourself in the middle of an annoying struggle to make your 2 or 3 year old put something back so you can get the heck outa Dodge for whatever reason...Well, this helps us:

Example situation: Charlie is dragging a huge construction digger into his bedroom with designs on "sleeping with it" at naptime. Well, obviously, I'm keen to the fact that his plan doesn't include any actual SLEEPING with a huge digger within 5 feet of his bed, so I suggest he "find a special place" for it instead, as in, "Hey, I've got an idea...How about we make a tunnel for the digger, and then you can park it under the tunnel!" Same goes with some huge dirty stick he's insisting on dragging home from the property - "Let's find a 'special place' for that stick, so you can find it right away next time we come. Then you can have a walking stick like brother."

It really works (much of the time), I promise! Of course, I realize sometimes No just needs to be a simple No, but if you can, there's no reason not to make it reasonable, and/or fun.
