I've never been a trekkie, but did watch a couple of the older movies etc., and saw some of the series when I was a kid. So, I wasn't even really planning on going to the new movie.

However, Ryan and I decided on a night out at the movies on Saturday and since we only have one theatre, we went to see Star Trek.

I was very pleasantly suprised! We both enjoyed it quite a bit. It was really neat to see how all the crew came to be on the Enterprise etc. Not to mention that the guy who played Kirk was pretty easy on the eyes :lol:

I've seen it twice since it came out in the theaters here. I loved it! I've seen every original Star Trek episode, ALL the previous movies and this most current one is my favorite. It had a nice balance with as much action all through out it and I thought no better cast could have been chosen. I want to see it again! :lol:
