I read the book and quite enjoyed it -- so when the movie came out, I figured I'd like to go and see it.

My sister and I went last night (headed for appy's first -- didn't want dinner because that wouldn't have left room for popcorn  ) We had a very nice evening.

The movie itself was just ok. I guess I was expecting more

I felt that the feel of the movie wasn't that of the book (for me anyways -- who knows what the book author's intentions were). The movie had a darker feel to it somehow... almost trying to be creepy at times. And some of the characters in the book were minimized in the movie and not really prominent -- felt the story would have been better if the supporting characters were developed more. I know, it's often the case with books vs movies...

A big plus though -- Eric Bana, who played Henry... YUMMY!

If you want a girls night out, go for it. Otherwise, wait for the video...

J and I went to see the movie last night. It was alright but I am interesting more in reading the book now. The movie felt like it had some potential, but fell short.
