Ryan's party is coming up -- we are going skating and having pizza after (they have a room right by the rink you can rent that includes admission for skating  so it's a great deal).

I pretty much just let them be... but thought I might have 1 game with prizes instead of doing goody bags... any ideas? Guests are a mix of boys and girls...

I thought of giving each kid half of a playing card -- and I would have the other half... then I would draw them randomly and they would select a wrapped prize in turn -- with the next child drawn able to pick from the pile, or "steal" one of the gifts already taken (and if your gift is stolen, you pick a new one from the pile). We do this as a family sometimes and it is a hoot. Suppose the kids would enjoy that?

I love the steal the present game it is always so much fun!

How about the Chocolate Game

POP-a-Balloon

Tie a balloon around the ankle of each child and let the kids try to pop one another's balloons by stepping on them. The trick is to keep their own balloon from being popped by the other players.

This is fun but you need a little more room to play it...

Dance Freeze (like musical chairs)
Let the children dance to a lively tape. When the music stops, players freeze, anyone still moving is out.

Simon Says is fun too...

Ryan might be getting to old for a few of these games but the steal the present or the chocolate game sound like a lot of fun... if you do the chocolate game take photos ...

Tell Ryan HAPPY BIRTHDAY almost lol
