I have been asked to be a donor

I am a male with two children of my own and have been asked by my brother and his wife whether I would consider being a donor because my brother and his wife have not been able to conceive after two implant procedures. I am just trying to obtain some feedback from donors that have donated to family members. How do they feel about it 5, 10, 15 years after the birth? How has it affected their own families? Would they do it again?

I don't have any personal experience with known donors, but those who have gone that route are typically very glad they did. I'm sure there will be others to asnwer your question too.

If you decide to do this, there are lots of things to consider before you do -- like the relationship with the child, if they will be told how they were conceived and that you were the donor etc etc. I think akk of you going to a counsellor would be a wonderful start.
