:angel?: Hi there all I am new to this site and I am hoping to get some support. My husband and I have been married for 2 yrs. I am 33 and he is 42 and I have 2 step-sons 14 & 12. I am now in the process of trying DI. My husband has had a vasectomy over 10ys. ago.

I am very excited and lucky to have sucha wonderful hubby. I am wondering if there is anyone else out there who can share with me.

Just wondering how the DI process is going for you. I'm in a similar situation, my fiance had his vasectomy 7 years ago and we're just beginning our journey with DI. I've already chosen my donor and I have my first appt. with the fertility clinic in 2 days, I'm excited and nervous. It took me almost 2 years to finally to make this decision and to become comfortable/accepting of using DI. The clinic I've chosen gives you alot of information about the donor and they also have donors that are willing to be identified when the child turns 18, that was the most important reason that I chose this facility. Would like to see how this is going for you, I'd be glad to share the donor facility info with you.

I sure hope your first appointment goes well.

AF just arrived for me today so that means I am getting ready for round 3 .. I sure hope this will be the last.

I am pursuing my IUI treatments via my OBGYN right here in town otherwise I would have to travel 3 hrs to the nearest facility in Green Bay WI .
Considering that I do not have any fertility issues of my own I am hoping that this route will work.

What sperm bank did you use? I'm using Xytex from Georgia. I was going to use my regular ob/gyn but I found out that there is a local fertility clinic, so I'm going to give them a try. What all methods do they have you using to predict ovulation? I'm not even to that point yet, I guess tomorrow they'll let me know what I have to do. I want to start trying in February, how soon after your initial consultation did you begin insemination? I'm sorry you're still trying I'm sure it sometimes gets you down, but I certainly wish you the best.

Hi there the Bank I am using is Cryogenics Lab out of Virginia I believe.
They have been very nice so far .. hopefully I will not have to deal with them too much longer :P
I am using a regular over the counter OPK which is working wonderfully.. and of course I seem to be able to tell on my own when I am .. WHich is nice.
My official visit was in September and my first IUI in Nov.

How did things go with your APpt?

Hi Lisa,
I guess the appt. when ok. The doctor wanted to put me on Clomid and do some testing. I told him I didn't want the medication, that I'd prefer to try awhile without it, he said that was fine, because as far as I know I don't have any problems. He also wanted to do 2 tests which after I thought about them I also declined. So my first appt was last week on the 23rd and things have moved along rather quickly, I may have my first IUI the end of next week. The rate at which things are happening has made me nervous. I did buy 2 kinds of OPK I figure with 2 how can I go wrong, I've never been able to tell when I'm ovulating so I hope these work. So what is the date of your next IUI, we may be having it close to the same time. Good luck, hope to talk to you soon.
