I am going to be working with a couple as a known donor. I will be shipping then semen. It won't be frozen, but it will be cooled using the bio-flite shipper. They will be doing at-home insemination. Does anyone know what extender to use? How many days per cycle should I ship semen?Any tips?

What a wonderful thing you are doing!

I don't have answers to your shipping questions though. I'll see if I can find out!

One question, do you have a contract of any kind? Because of the potential issues involved with parental rights and responsibilities, it is strongly recommend that the woman being inseminated and the sperm donor have a legal contract established outlining these rights and responsibilities (or lack thereof) prior to the insemination.

Good luck to you all :)

We will have a cntract. There is another couple, though, that I will be helping that wants us to remain completely annonymous from each other. They don't want to have a contract. The theory is, If we don't know who each other is, how can anyone come after us for support or whatever? I initially told them they could be as annonymous as they wanted but I didn't expect all these consequences.

How long will the sperm last in the shipper? Typically she should inseminate every 24 hours so if the sperm will keep for a few days, I would think one shipment should be all that's necessary.[/code]
