What is your favourite childhood Christmas memory??

Wow, I was fortunate growing up -- I have so many great Christmas memories. I guess if I had to pick a favourite it would be climbing into my parents bed Christmas morning to open our stockings :)

When my mom's parents were alive we always spent Christmas morning at home and then we went to my grandparents. It was always so much fun. All my aunts, uncles and cousins were there. We always had such a blast. We went toboganning, skating, horse drawn sleigh rides, etc, etc. I have very fond memories of those times.

Sadly, I am so much younger than my siblings that my kids don't really have cousins their age and we rarely all get together at Christmas. It would be nice to have all of that again.

Every year my mom always had a great big party with all our friends and familiy on Christmas eve. I so looked forward to that party. We always had such fun with our cousins and friends. Then on Christmas morning we'd go and wake my parents and my dad would always go down first to make sure santa came. I loved the anticipation in getting his reply. We now do that for our kids too and it's almost the funest part for me!
