Your
Baby's First Year ~ Month 9
Now
that your baby has discovered how to stand, and maybe even
cruise, in the last month or so, he will likely take this
time to perfect his new skills.
Your
baby may also:
- Pull
himself up from sitting to standing
- Get
into a sitting position from his stomach
- Stand
while holding on to someone or something
- Wave
bye-bye
- Play
pat-a-cake
Some
babies may even be:
-
Drinking from a cup
- Standing
alone well
- Say
words other than ma-ma or da-da
His
language skills are also developing rapidly. He's listening
and taking in everything he hears. It's amazing what they
understand at this age, too. Encourage him by talking to him
as you would any other person. Your baby will likely start
taking an active interest in conversations, even if not directed
at him. Soon, he will start to shout for your attention! A
more distinct personality will start to shine through now,
too.
